Our Payment Model
Cash-based care
Praxis is not paneled with insurance companies and does not bill insurance directly.
Clients pay for services directly at the time of session.
Many clients choose cash-based therapy because it allows for:
Greater privacy and confidentiality
More personalized treatment planning
Freedom from insurance restrictions or diagnoses required for coverage
Greater flexibility in length and frequency of care
Choice of clinician based on fit rather than network status
We believe meaningful care is often strengthened when treatment decisions are guided by client need rather than insurance limitations.
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
Can I Use My Insurance?
Possibly.
While Praxis does not bill insurance directly, many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services.
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit claims and receive partial reimbursement.
Praxis provides monthly superbills for eligible therapy services that clients may submit to their insurance provider.
We recommend contacting your insurance company directly and asking:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What percentage is reimbursed?
Is there a deductible?
How do I submit superbills?
Are telehealth sessions eligible?
Please note: reimbursement is determined entirely by your insurance provider.
